SERVICES
- Behavioral and Physical Assessment during orientation camp stay prior to wilderness experience
- Therapist is in backcountry two days and one night per week providing individual and group therapy sessions. Therapists have small caseloads averaging 5 - 7 students.
- Therapist works closely with the well-trained and skilled staff to ensure treatment goals and therapeutic assignments are a daily focus
- Student’s Therapist talks with Parents weekly
- Student’s Therapist consults with Family Therapist, Educational Consultant or other professional support weekly
- Three Rivers Clinical Team reviews student’s progress weekly and modifies treatment plan based on results
- Full psychological, educational, and chemical dependency evaluations available upon request (evaluations conducted after student has completed at least two weeks in the program. There is an additional fee for this service.)
Three Rivers maintains a quality assurance/utilization review program to monitor quality and effectiveness of treatment.
Licensing/Registration
Three Rivers Montana is registered with the State of Montana Private Alternative Adolescent Residential or Outdoor Programs (PAARP). Click here to read the bill.
Therapists and medical staff are licensed and/or certified. This includes M.D.s, Ph.D. psychologists, licensed social workers and professional counselors, licensed addiction counselor, and registered nurses. All field staff have first aid and CPR certification and most are certified Wilderness First Responders.
Medical Support. An urgent care facility, a JCAHO accredited hospital for diagnostic (including x-ray and laboratory services) and emergency (including major surgical) services, and a helicopter evacuation firm are readily available if needed.
