Winter and Spring at Three Rivers Montana

We hope your winter has been as spectacular as ours here in Montana. It’s already warming up so we know spring is just around the corner.

The snow and the mountains are absolutely beautiful. I love working with our students in the winter and many of our staff say it’s the best time of the year to work with kids. There’s a special closeness which encourages students to get to the heart of their issues and that sets the stage for real growth.

When considering wilderness therapy programs, we know safety and effectiveness are your major concerns. Families and referring professionals consistently are pleased with the results of our family systems approach. Boarding schools have given us feedback that Three Rivers Graduates are well prepared and enter their programs with a clear mind and determined heart. In addition, we’ve received consistent feedback that the growth Three Rivers parents undergo through the family systems work prepares them well for the post-graduation transition.

We manage safety through trained staff, excellent equipment and clothing, and through the use of heated structures spaced strategically in our operational area, readily available when needed. We use a log cabin, domes (round, wood floored structures), wall-tents, and teepees when it’s cold or very wet. Parents meet around a fireplace in our lodge for the parent seminar. During graduation, families camp in heated wall-tents and teepees while they work with their therapist and celebrate their child’s achievements.

We’d love to answer any questions you have about Three Rivers. Just give me a call at 877-221-1115.

Best wishes for a lovely winter and early spring.
